Boothbay Railway Village
Railway Village thanks Coulombe
Thu, 08/15/2013 - 4:00pm
On Wednesday, Aug. 14, the Boothbay Railway Village organized a thank you cruise aboard the Nellie G II for Paul G. Coulombe and his guests.
In May, the museum received a generous gift from Coulombe resulting in the purchase of a three-plus acre plot of land directly across from its location on Route 27 in Boothbay.
The cruise aboard the historic Nellie G II, built in East Boothbay in 1932, traced its original route as the Squirrel Island Ferry from 1932-1967 before further explorations of the harbor and beyond to Linekin Bay.
Guests enjoyed the hospitality of Boothbay Railway Village founder and owner of the Nellie G II, George McEvoy. The museum’s board of directors arranged for catering by Treats of Wiscasset.
