Sorry for the lateness of this news, we hit a little snafu a couple of weeks ago!

The summer softball season was off to an exciting start. On July 6, the Bertrand team came out strong and shut out the Yerrall team 11-0. The following day, the Yerrall team responded with a 5-3 victory over the Bertrand team. The game on July 14 was another win for the Yerrall team as they beat the Bertrand team by a slim margin of 1 point (the final score was 4-3). Stay tuned as game play continues to heat up! On July 21 the ball game was dedicated to Peter Dawson. The play of the game was made by 7-year-old Kyle Rush. making an outstanding diving catch to lob a hit in short-center field. The crowd went wild!

The Ocean Point Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, July 20. There were 32 players participating. This is the largest turnout in several years and the first time that women participated. After the tournament, lunch was served on the Club porch. Everyone had a great day. RESULTS: 1st place team: Bill Shea, Dan Shea, Ryan Shea, Gerry Shea; 2nd Place team: Mike Anderson, Paul Anderson, Will Bertrand, Jim Hickey. Closest to the pin on #17, Steve Dubois; Longest put made on #15, Jack Chambers; Longest drive on #8, Matt Whitehouse. Many thanks to all who participated.

At the tennis courts the porch is often populated with interested on-lookers, just like the old days! Let us not forget the youngest athletes who scramble all over the play equipment and find new friends every day to become best friends forever! My forever best Ocean Point  friend, Ginny DeCeasar, came to visit us today!
