Angelique Perkins, daughter of Lauri and Tom Perkins of Boothbay Harbor, is in the championship round of the WPXT's “Kick Start Maine,” a game show for Maine eighth graders, tonight, June 27, at 7:30 p.m. The episode will also air Friday (10 a.m.), June 28, Saturday (6:30 a.m., noon and 5:30 p.m.), June 29, Sunday (7 p.m.), June 30 and Monday (5 p.m.), July 1. WPXT is Channel 12 and 710 (HD) on your local cable TV.
In the semifinals, Perkins defeated Ravi from Yarmouth Middle School and Esme from Hope Elementary School. Perkins' classmate Anna Sirois recited the show's opening pledge and another BRES classmate, Emma Rideout, handled the closing duties on this episode. Both Anna and Emma also received the requisite pies in the face on camera shortly after completing their duties.
