The LincolnHealth clinic at the Boothbay Region YMCA Marylouise Tandy Cowan Field House will close at noon Friday, June 4. There are 302 scheduled appointments for this week, including three first doses. By the last appointment, the clinic will have given about 23,500 doses since opening Jan. 25.

“We’re deeply grateful for the support the clinic received from our community partners and for our team members who created and implemented a great work flow and plan,” said LincolnHealth President Cindy Wade. “It’s also important to acknowledge the people in our communities who recognized the importance of being vaccinated. Lincoln County has always been at or near the top of the COVID vaccination stats, and I’d like to think our clinic played a big part in this success story.”

LincolnHealth Director of Communications John Martins said until the clinic closes it will be running half-days Wednesday to Friday and walk-ins are still welcome. Martins said future opportunities to receive the vaccine will partly be in the form of “pop-up” clinics like one held last week at the Waldoboro VFW where 64 first doses were administered.

Martins said patients will continue to be screened before entering the clinics and masks are still required, as the reduction in restrictions does not apply to healthcare settings.
