As a violent storm whipped through the Boothbay region on early Tuesday evening, the rolling and tumbling clouds presented a strange sight as it rolled over the Damariscotta River passing over the East Boothbay village en route to South Bristol. The same storm spawned a tornado that caused slight damage in Woolwich, however these clouds were not part of a tornado, according to NOAA meterologist John Jensenius. The storm produced heavy, rain, thunder and lightning. Despite the chilling photos, it was not a tornado.
