June 18 update: Waldo County records COVID-19 recovery

AUGUSTA — The Maine CDC has updated its list, June 18, of COVID-19 cases in the state of Maine.

Today, there are 2,878 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases across the state, including 2,555 confirmed cases and 323 probable cases. 

Across the state, 2,300 people have recovered from COVID-19, while 102 people have died. The number of people hospitalized, at some point during their illness, across the state stands at 323.

Looking at hospital COVID-19 data, there are currently 27 hospitalized, including 10 in critical care and four on a ventilator. There are 146 available critical care beds out of 389 total and 253 available ventilators of 319 total and 441 alternative ventilators. 

By sex, 1,478 females have tested positive in the state and 1,400 males have tested positive.

The below cases represents the number of full-time Maine residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC. 

Each day, the Maine CDC updates its COVID-19 data on its website with the latest coronavirus numbers from across the state. Today’s update came at 11:30 a.m.
