June 12 update: New COVID-19 case, recovery in Lincoln County

AUGUSTA — The Maine CDC has updated its list, June 12, of COVID-19 cases in the state of Maine.

Today, there are 2,721 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases across the state, including 2,420 confirmed cases and 301 probable cases. 

Across the state, 2,105 people have recovered from COVID-19, while 100 people have died. The number of people hospitalized, at some point during their illness, across the state stands at 308.

Looking at hospital COVID-19 data, there are currently 32 hospitalized, including 11 in critical care and five on a ventilator. There are 152 available critical care beds out of 398 total and 254 available ventilators of 318 total and 441 alternative ventilators. 

By sex, 1,398 females have tested positive in the state and 1,323 males have tested positive.

The below cases represents the number of full-time Maine residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC. 

Each day, the Maine CDC updates its COVID-19 data on its website with the latest coronavirus numbers from across the state. Today’s update came at 12:15 p.m.
