The Boothbay Region High School Class of 2020 marched on together June 5 after a difficult last spring semester. Friends and family were absent from the gym as Class Marshal Colby Babcock led his peers in the procession to assembly.
Honors students marched with their additional regalia: Magna cum laude: Chloe Arsenault, Lauren Barclay, valedictorian Hali Goodwin and salutatorian Will Perkins; and cum laude: Hunter Crocker, Madison Faulkingham, Rowan Kristan, Nicholas Morley and Timothy Norton.
Principal Tricia Campbell’s principal’s welcome was followed by Perkins’ welcome address. Arsenault presented her honor essay before the class stood to sing the BRHS alma mater. Goodwin gave the farewell address, which was followed by Superintendent Keith Laser’s address. Campbell and Guidance Counselor Leanne Burnham awarded the diplomas. Babcock led his class in the recessional to the outside where graduates gathered to toss their caps and congratulate one another.
