Seahawks take down Falcons

Four players scored in double figures as the Boothbay Region High School girls basketball team easily defeated the Mountain Valley Falcons, 77-32, in Rumford Saturday night.
Faith Blethen scored 23 points (including three 3-pointers) to lead Boothbay. Glory Blethen was next with 19 points, followed by Ashley Abbott (11 points, including three 3-pointers) and Chloe Arsenault (10).
Kierstyn Lyons led the Falcons with 10 points.
The now top-seeded Seahawks improved to 10-0 while the Falcons fell to 8-3.
Boothbay will host Oak Hill, 10-0 and on top of Class B South, on Wednesday, Jan. 16.
