The Boothbay Region High School Lady Seahawks basketball team will be hosting the second annual Lobster Jam on Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21.

The 10 teams participating include Boothbay, Central Massachusetts FUNdamental Basketball Camp, Cony, Central, Falmouth, Poland, Schenck, South Portland, Waynflete and Westbrook – all vying for the crown of Lobster Jam Champion. The public is invited to attend.

Games will be held Friday night and all day Saturday at Boothbay Region High School and Boothbay Region Elementary School. The first games on Friday will begin at 5 p.m. The Lady Seahawks are scheduled to play their first game at 6:30 p.m. at the elementary school against Central. The first games on Saturday begin at 9 a.m., with the championship game scheduled for 8 p.m.

Lunch items, such as lobster rolls, hot dogs and pizza, will be sold on Saturday. A skills competition will be held at approximately 4:30 p.m. and an all-tourney team will be announced prior to the championship game.

All games will be officiated by board officials and played under standard Maine high school basketball rules. Games will be 8-minute quarters with each team getting three full timeouts and two 30-second timeouts.
