Boothbay Harbor Town Manager Tom Woodin has announced the 2018-2019 taxes were committed on Wednesday, July 25 and the new mill rate is 11.6. The 20 cent increase from last year's is due to the increase in education spending and the county tax, Woodin said; however, the mill rate is still lower than it was in 2007.

Woodin said bills will be mailed in the next few days and the first payment will be due Thursday, Sept. 6.
