Two more public AEDs in Boothbay Harbor

The Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club and the West Harbor Post Office are new AED sites, thanks to the generosity of the Schacknow Foundation and the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service. The Boothbay Region Ambulance Service, in collaboration with the Max and Evelyn Schacknow Foundation, presented the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club with a publicly-accessible automatic external defibrillator (AED).
This AED is located outside at the West Boothbay Harbor Post Office and is available for emergencies 24/7. The BHYC also placed their current AED on the exterior of the clubhouse and it is also available for public use.
The Boothbay Region was recently designated a HEARTSafe Community, in part, as a result of the Schacknow Foundation’s generous donation of 17 AED’s for public use throughout the community.
