Group cleans up Damariscove Island
Boothbay Region Land Trust (BRLT) is so thankful to all the volunteers of the Rozalia Project for organizing and performing a clean-up of Damariscove Island this past weekend.
Each year, tons of lobster traps, buoys, rope, plastic bottles and more wash up on the shore of Boothbay Region Land Trust’s Damariscove Island Preserve. But our island is just one of many. That is why we are so grateful for organizations such as the Rozalia Project, a national nonprofit working towards clean oceans through remediation projects, education and innovative research. They collaborate with groups large and small to demonstrate that these things can make a big difference in the health of our oceans.
