Improving children’s hospital stays, one puzzle piece at a time
Cameron Webb, a sophomore at Alpharetta High School, Georgia and a Southport Yacht Club sailor since 2007, has created a unique Eagle Scout project with Boy Scout Troop 69 to give kids a comforting and relaxing distraction as they deal with their medical issues.
Called “Puzzles for Patients,” he is collecting new puzzles to be given to children (ages 2-18) who have overnight stays at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. New puzzles may be dropped off at the Daffy Taffy and Fudge Factory on Bridge Street, Boothbay Harbor or at the Southport Yacht Club, Cozy Harbor Road, Southport by August 6.
Since he lives in Atlanta and would have to ship the puzzles home, it may be easier for Cameron to purchase a puzzle for you. If so, please send monetary donations to: Cameron Webb, 37 Stowaway Road, Southport, ME 04576 or leave your donation in the envelope on the board at Southport Yacht Club (senior building).
Please help comfort a child by contributing puzzles to our cause. Thank you for caring by showing the healing power of puzzles.
