The Friends of the Southport Historical Society will host an open house at the Hendricks Head Museum on Tuesday, June 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This will celebrate the opening of the museum for the summer. Light refreshments will be served in the boat shop, where one can transport themselves back to the famous Gus Pratt, or Gus’s Restaurant by sitting on his original stools at the counter and relive history through photos and artifacts.
There are many interesting displays in the museum, which will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. until Sept. 5.
