BRCTV moving into a new era
Boothbay Region Community Television is launching of a new era of media services and entertainment in the Boothbay region.
BRCTV is now expanding its services to include video production for area businesses and organizations, as well as the development of educational opportunities in the media arts.
For the past 20 years BRCTV has provided the community with local media coverage. In 2002 the station expanded beyond its traditional broadcasts of high school sports and local government to include local events, short films and, of course, “The Bet Show.”
In the past six years, BRCTV has continued to grow under the direction of Station Manager Jonne Trees. With the addition of several high definition cameras, new editing software, and a quadcopter capable of taking aerial photography, BRCTV continues to capture the the breathtaking beauty of our region and share the stories of its people. BRCTV content is 100 percent locally made, and our extensive video library can be viewed all in one place at www.brctv.org.
BRCTV is now heading for new heights! This season BRCTV is producing several new shows and a full-length documentary. BRCTV is always looking for local talent, so anyone who is interested in learning how to shoot video, edit footage, works on sets, write scripts or just discover a creative outlet are welcome to join our talented team. Please contact channel7@brctv.org or stop by the studio on the second floor of the Boothbay Region YMCA.
Thanks to the oversight of the board of directors, both former and current, and our dedicated volunteers, BRCTV is committed to its mission to serve the Boothbay region, inspire local videography, and provide quality programming both on television and online.
