The Rev. Tom Kerr named to East Boothbay seasonal pastorate
The Bishop of the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church has appointed The Rev. Tom Kerr to a seasonal pastorate at the East Boothbay United Methodist Church.
Kerr retired from the North Georgia and Florida Conferences having served over 35 years in multiple appointments. He is a graduate of Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
Kerr and his wife Sara spend the winter months in Clarkesville, Georgia and will be living in East Boothbay where they have owned a home since 2000.
“We love the Boothbay region and appreciate the warmth we have experienced in this beautiful place. The East Boothbay Church and its counterparts in the Cooperative Parish (Boothbay Harbor UMC and Southport UMC) are caring communities of faith that have open hearts and open minds. I feel blessed to serve amongst these wonderful people.”
The East Boothbay Church meets for worship at 9 a.m. every Sunday and you are invited to join with them for energetic and spirit-filled services.
