Thomas H. Milligan, 66, of Brunswick, died at the Maine Veterans Hospital on Feb. 14, 2015, surrounded by family.

Tom grew up in Boothbay and graduated from Boothbay Region High School in the class of 1966. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. Navy and served in the submarine service as a Quartermaster 2nd Class Petty Officer.

Upon leaving the Navy, he sailed on the Sea Star as a crew member and later worked with the O'Hara fishing fleet. Tom enjoyed the ocean and especially fishing.

He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley M. Milligan of Boothbay Harbor, his father, Roy Milligan of New Hampshire, and brother Dennis Milligan.

He is survived by three daughters, one granddaughter, five sisters, Brenda Blake, Kathy Keene, Debbie Merry, Melissa Garlough, Susie Milligan; and brothers, Dwight, Mark and Scott Milligan.

At Tom's request there will be no service, however, a celebration of his life will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions in Tom's memory may be made to the Boothbay Region Fishermen's Memorial.
