Lincoln Health Wellness & Rehab thanks St. Andrews Auxiliary
Following a monthly meeting Feb. 18, members of St. Andrews Auxiliary Board journeyed to the Community Room at the Wellness & Rehabilitation Department, St. Andrews Campus, where they were treated to a delicious homemade lunch prepared by staff members to thank the auxiliary for recent donations used to purchase equipment that serves to enhance their program.
While staff and board members dined together, a slide show on the computer screen in the room displayed the items purchased such as an iPad, a machine to test balance, software CDs and DVDs for voice therapy, a video amplifier for the conference room, kettlebells and pediatric mats. A screen of personal “thank you” notes also cycled through the presentation.
Jim Stephens, site manager of the St. Andrews Campus Wellness Department, introduced the Wellness/Rehab staff, and board president, Carole Zalucky, introduced the auxiliary board members present.
St. Andrews Auxiliary earns the money it donates at its thrift shop in the Meadow Mall, Boothbay Harbor.
In addition to the St. Andrews Campus Wellness/Rehab Department, the auxiliary has donated funds this year to various healthcare activities on the peninsula, including St. Andrews Village, the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service, LifeFlight, Boothbay Region District Nursing Association, Lincoln County Healthcare, Tufts Medical School Program, and individual scholarships to persons entering the health care professions.
All monies given are for items and services used here on the peninsula. As always anyone interested in joining the auxiliary can find an application and more information at the thrift shop or by contacting De Amplo, membership chairman, at seawood98@aol.com.
