The Boothbay Region Elementary School Wildcat eighth grade boys and girls basketball teams both advanced in the Busline League playoffs on Monday, Jan. 20 with wins over Searsport and Wiscasset, respectively.

The Wildcat boys won, 66-49, and the Wildcat girls won, 46-25.

Tentatively, the BRES boys will host the winner of Oceanside White-Bristol game on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 3:45 p.m. and the BRES girls will host the winner of the Camden-Great Salt Bay game also on Thursday at 5:15 p.m.

The Wildcat seventh grade teams host playoff games tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 21. The girls take on Wiscasset at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys' game against Oceanside-Blue at 7 p.m.

If the seventh grade teams win on Tuesday, they will advance to games on Thursday; the girls at home at 6:45 p.m. and the boys at Belfast at 3:30 p.m.
