Lady Seahawks bounce back

The Lady Seahawks basketball team stopped a three-game slide with a convincing 49-33 win over Mountain Valley Tuesday night, Jan. 14 at Porter Memorial Gymnasium.
Boothbay took advantage of cold shooting by the Falcons and led at every break.
After Mountain Valley pulled to within eight points, 38-30, on a three-pointer by Karen Flaherty with 5:25 to play, Coach Tanner Grover’s team extended its defensive pressure and held off the Falcons.
Morgan Crocker led Boothbay (5-6) with 21 points, followed by Sara Durgan with 17.
Flaherty led Mountain Valley (4-7) with seven points.
