Lady Seahawks lose to Monmouth

A 17-point fourth quarter by the visiting Monmouth Mustangs gave the Lady Seahawks team its second loss of the season Friday night, 43-39. The Mustangs held Boothbay to just eight points in the final frame and improved to 3-1 on the season. The Lady Seahawks dropped to 1-2.
After trailing 8-6 after eight minutes, the Lady Seahawks led at the next two breaks, 20-15 and 31-26.
Leading scorer for Monmouth was Kylie Kemp with 13 points, followed Haley West with 12.
Junior Morgan Crocker and sophomore Hannah Morley each scored 12 to lead Boothbay.
