Rotary to host annual Veterans Appreciation Night Nov. 7
The Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club is hosting its annual Veterans Appreciation night on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Guest speaker that evening will be Kelly Hinkle, event coordinator for Wreaths Across America. This organization started in Washington County with a goal to ensure that all graves in Arlington National Cemetery are decorated during the holiday season. Today, Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 1,600 locations worldwide.
Hinkle manages the planning and execution of Maine-based events for the organization, and he participates in the escort to Arlington each December.
All veterans, active duty personnel and blue-star families are invited to this special night, which will take place at the Rotary Clubhouse, 66 Montgomery Road, Boothbay Harbor, beginning at 6 p.m. You are our guest, but reservations are appreciated; please call 633-7300 by Friday, Nov. 1 to RSVP. Uniform or veterans’ organization insignia are welcome but optional. We look forward to seeing you there!
