For over a year, the Boothbay Harbor selectmen have been discussing what to do with the town-owned land where the tennis courts used to be, at the intersection of Townsend Avenue and Emery Lane.

At their meeting on July 27, the selectmen decided the project was too important for the town to be decided by only a few people, and they would hold a workshop to discuss ideas and get input from members of the town.

The selectmen have announced that the workshop will be held on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Boothbay Harbor Town Office, in lieu of their regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting is open to the public, and is a chance for residents of Boothbay Harbor to make their voices heard in the planning of the space.
