Voters will be going to the polls on Tuesday, June 12 for the state primary election, where they will be asked to mark the ballot for their first-choice candidate as well as their second, third and subsequent choices for each office in the first-ever ranked-choice voting. Voters will also decide on a People’s Veto referendum question that asks if they would like to continue using ranked-choice voting for future elections in Maine.

Polling hours in Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb and Southport are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
