UPDATED: Over 156,000 CMP customers still without power in state
Updated: As of 10: 47 a.m., over 156,000 Mainers are still without power due to the overnight rain and wind storm which brought down power lines, trees and more, according to Central Maine Power’s website.
In Lincoln County, over 16,000 CMP customers were still without power. In Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay, Southport and Edgecomb, 3,738 customers were without power, with Boothbay leading the way with 2,438 out.
Fire departments were out early clearing some roads and closing off others after the storm hit its peak after 1 a.m.
Boothbay Fire Department Assistant Chief Gary Arsenault reported that several CMP crews were in the area this morning.
Area residents should be careful traveling the roads as the storm is not over. Check the CMP website for updated information.
