A Silver Lining owner hopes to reopen by February 1
Good news from owner of A Silver Lining jewelry store, Tony Heyl. The store has been emptied, and the Servepro team is hard at work cleaning up the mess from the recent flood.
On January 8, two pipes burst in one of the third floor apartment bathrooms in downtown Boothbay Harbor located over A Silver Lining. This caused damage to one apartment, located just underneath the bathroom, as well as A Silver Lining.
Some jobs, such as the floor repair, will take around a week to complete, but since they got to work soon after the disaster, Heyl is hopeful that A Silver Lining will reopen by February 1 and be available for Valentine’s Day purchases.
“To paraphrase the late General MacArthur,” Heyl said, “we shall return come hell or high water, and we already survived the high water.”
