Seahawks cage Greyhounds
An 11-2 run in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter gave the Boothbay Region High School Lady Seahawks a 21-point lead as they went on to defeat the Lisbon Greyhounds, 50-20, Tuesday night at BRHS.
Boothbay (13-1) had a cold night shooting from the floor in the first half as they only led 19-9 at the break. Lisbon committed 12 first-half turnovers but the Lady Seahawks couldn’t capitalize.
The third quarter saw the Lady Seahawks build its lead to 11 points, 28-17, after the visitors had cut Boothbay’s lead to five points, 20–15, with 2:29 remaining in the quarter.
Senior Morgan Crocker went to work in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 of her game-high 21 points, as the game became firmly in hand for Boothbay.
Sophomore Cagney O’Brien added nine points and freshman Page Brown had eight for Boothbay
Kaylin Lee led the Greyhounds (2-11) with 10 points.
