Nick Scott wins photo contest

Nick Scott of Boothbay has won the Boothbay Register's first-ever Halloween costume contest, which ended earlier this month.
Scott, who took a sabbatical from his role as Boothbay Region High School cross country coach role this year, entered his daughter Emma in the contest.
Little Emma took the lion's share of votes in her cute kitty costume. Her dad, as the entrant, wins a $100 gift certificate to McSeagull's Restaurant in Boothbay Harbor, the sponsor of the contest.
The crew at Robinson's Wharf came in a close second and get an honorable mention for their Scooby Doo costumes, complete with cardboard Mystery Machine. No doubt they would have gotten away with the prize, too … if it hadn't been for that adorable Emma Scott!
The Boothbay Register’s next contest will ask voters to choose “The Most Inspiring New Year’s Resolution.” More information will be announced soon. If you are a local business that would like to sponsor this or other upcoming contests, call Kathy or Sarah at 207-633-4620.
Note: we have heard feedback from our readers that the contest form was difficult to navigate, so for the next contest, we’ve made some adjustments.
We invite you to share your feedback or ask questions by emailing news@boothbayregister.com.
