As the region continues to dig itself out from a weekend storm that left more than a foot of snow in places, the time to put shovels and plows away is not yet at hand.

Another three to five inches of snow is expected December 17 in Maine. The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a winter storm warning for parts of Maine as they predict cold temperatures in the teens, winds up to 15 miles an hour and the three to five inches that are expected to make Wednesday's commute a slick one.

The snow is expected to start falling Tuesday afternoon and continue into the night.
