The final Boothbay selectmen’s meeting of 2013 is scheduled for December 11 at 7 p.m.

Town Manager Jim Chaousis is planning to present the town budget for fiscal year 2015, and the selectmen will review a proposal from the Boothbay Region Land Trust for the Cross River Center property.

The 19 acre parcel was set aside as public property in 2002, but according to some selectmen, the property has been inactive and should be put to better use. Although some residents feel the property should be retained for public access to local clamdiggers, the selectmen put out a request for proposals to determine what options are available.

BRLT's proposal will remain in a sealed envelope until Wednesday's meeting. It is the only proposal the selectmen have received so far for the property.
