The Lady Seahawks basketball team (1-1) will face the Monmouth Mustangs (2-1) at home Friday night, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m.. The team will look to get back on the winning track after a last-second loss to Dirigo on Wednesday. Boothbay opened the season with a win at Lisbon on Tuesday.

“Monmouth will be a dogfight,” said Coach Tanner Grover. Size wise, they may actually be smaller than us, which is insane to think about. They return 5'6" Kylie Kemp, a senior forward who loves to slash and is crafty around the rim. She is also an outstanding rebounder. If we keep her in check and take care of the basketball against their pressure, I like our chances.”

Monmouth defeated Oak Hill, 53-52, and Winthrop, 49-26, and lost to St. Dom's, 50-32.
