Indivisible-Boothbay invites all to 2019 planning session
Indivisible-Boothbay, a nonpartisan progressive group formed after the Women’s March of 2017, will hold a meeting to plan its focus and strategy for 2019 and beyond. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rotary Building at 66 Montgomery Road in Boothbay Harbor. All interested area citizens are welcome to attend.
In the past, Indivisible-Boothbay has held monthly meetings focusing on different topics such as healthcare, environmental concerns, immigration, economic fairness, LBGTQ issues, citizen lobbying, and election reforms. Often, an expert or panel of experts on the topic has been invited to speak and answer questions, and attendees leave with suggestions of follow-up actions to take. At the meeting on Jan 15, potential topics, speakers, and formats for this year will be discussed and chosen.
Indivisible-Boothbay encourages active citizenship and engagement in the political process at the local, county, state, and national levels. Any interested members of the community are welcome to participate in the group.
