CSD sets $1.6M bond question
During a special meeting Feb. 10, the Community School District Board of Trustees unanimously passed language for an up to $1.6 million bond referendum this spring. The district said the bond would fund priority repairs to both Boothbay region elementary and high schools, as reported in the Register.
The bond question reads: "Do you favor authorizing the Board of Trustees of Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Community School District (the “District”) to issue bonds or notes in the name of the District for minor capital purposes in an amount not to exceed $1.6 million to make life safety improvements and critical repairs at Boothbay Region Elementary School and Boothbay Region High School?"
According to the district, the tentative schedule is for an April 24 referendum with a public hearing March 31, location to be determined.
