Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor
Join the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor in person or online for worship Sundays at 10 a.m. Face coverings will be required for all people, regardless of your vaccination status, for in-person Sunday worship. We will pass the Friendship Folders at the beginning of the service for everyone to sign in case contact tracing is necessary. If you wish to continue worshiping from home, you may stream worship live at www.congochurchbbh.org, Facebook, YouTube, or tune into BRTV, channel 7 or 1301 for Spectrum subscribers.
On Nov. 14 we will celebrate Stewardship Sunday, the last day of our Stewardship Season. Pastor Todd Weir invites you one more time to explore different ways of being rooted in God’s love in the last installment of the Stewardship Preaching Series, Rooted in Love with his sermon “Rooted in Love Beyond What We See.” He will explore Mark 13:1-8, where the disciples were very impressed with the great walls of the Temple in Jerusalem. Like the disciples, we often think that a beautiful church building, and endowment gives us long-term security. Jesus says that even great stone buildings can be fleeting. Our security comes from engaging in the ongoing work of God in the world. As we look into the future, how is God calling us beyond where we are now?
Join the church Bible Study on ZOOM that will explore further Mark 13:1-8 on Monday, November 15 at 11 AM. You may call the church at (207) 633.4757 for more information.
We are pleased to announce we will be holding our Church Christmas Fair this year on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Masks are required! We will have soups, stews, and chowders to go, available for purchase in pint and quart containers, along with rolls and biscuits. Our famous Choir Cookie Walk, the Deacon’s Baked Goods Table, and the ever-popular Jewelry and Scarf table will be selling items as well. All the proceeds from this event will go to the CRC Fuel Assistance Fund that helps families and individuals in our region heat their homes through our cold Maine winters.
Send prayer joys and concerns Heather Lorrain at admin@congochurchbbh.org; Note if you would like to have your prayer shared on Sunday during worship.
You may submit your tithes and offerings online at www.congochurchbbh.org, or mail to Congo Church BBH, P.O. Box 468, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.
