Community meeting Feb. 27 on rising sea levels and community impacts
Do you remember the storms that happened last January? They caused significant damage to our shoreline. What were some of the driving factors that made those storms particularly intense? What are king tides? How should we, as a community, respond and prepare for these types of storms and tidal events in the future? What have we learned from these events?
On Thursday, Feb. 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Boothbay Region YMCA, join the Boothbay Region Climate Action Team (BRCAT) for a brief presentation on king tides and why they matter. A brief update on our team’s plans for the future will be provided. There will be ample time for discussing our experiences and ideas.
Please join us for sandwiches, pizza, beverages and discussion.
