Church youth group starts Thursday; race winners announced
Fifty-five children and parents attended the FASCAR race event kicking off the Olympian youth group at Boothbay Baptist Church last week. Kids, and some adults, raced Matchbox cars on a computerized track for awards, trophies and bragging rights.
The winners in their age groups were
Pre-K and Kindergarten: 1st, Noah Barter; 2nd, Milee Dickinson; 3rd Violet Baldwin.
Challengers (Grades 1-2): 1st Joel Dickinson; 2nd Corinne Anne Rodgers; 3rd Kaiden Cusumano.
Conquerors (Grades 3-4): 1st Moriah Smith; 2nd Brady Baldwin; 3rd Avery Fowlie.
Champions (Grades 5-6): 1st Christian Dodge; 2nd Maria Michael; 3rd Nelson Stevens.
Grand Champion was Joel Dickinson.
Pastor Steve Nash was declared the winner among the older folks.
The Olympian youth group for students in Grades 1-6 meets every Thursday starting this week, 6-7:30 p.m. downstairs at Boothbay Baptist Church. All local kids are welcome to come and enjoy Bible stories, songs, games, and healthy snacks.
