Both articles pass at special Boothbay Harbor town meeting
The special town meeting held June 8 was sparsely attended, with only 16 registered voters of Boothbay Harbor there.
Article two was to grant the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service $22,842 for its 2013 capital equipment reserve fund. This money was not invoiced to Boothbay Harbor in the correct fiscal year, and required the special town meeting so it could be approved by voters.
The meeting also was to authorize the selectmen to reallocate the money previously approved for the harbormaster reserve boat account. Because of a donation of a boat by Kathryn and Henry Woods, the existing reserve account, which equaled about $70,000, was no longer necessary.
Both articles passed with little discussion. There were three “nay” votes for the article two, and one nay for article three.
