Boothbay Harbor welcomes new Fish Pier tenants
On May 1, the Fish Pier will still be open selling bait. On April 25, the town of Boothbay Harbor signed a new lease with Chuck and Jeanne Fuller of Fuller Marine Services in Boothbay as new tenants of the Fish Pier.
Former tenant David Reingardt of Kettle Fish Inc.’s lease ends April 30.
The Fullers are very excited about their new business opportunity, and are looking forward to working with the town.
“It was close, but we did it,” said Chuck Fuller. The Fullers wanted to avoid a lapse in service at the Fish Pier, which meant they needed to be open by May 1. With the lease signed, they will be.
Boothbay Harbor Board of Selectmen Chairman Bill Hamblen voiced his appreciation of the leasing process with the Fullers. “It has been wonderful working with them, and I look forward to that relationship continuing. We are here to help (the Fullers) should they need us,” he said.
The town is currently working out with the Fullers the details in how the construction planned for the Fish Pier will affect their new business.
