Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD Building Exploratory Committee seeks public input, volunteers
“We have some decisions to make for our schools, our youth and our communities.” So reads a press release from the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD Building Exploratory Committee. The BEC is seeking input from the public and is urging people to keep up with any news from their meetings by attending the meetings in person or via Zoom (link available on the AOS98 website)
The next BEC meeting is Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 5:15 p.m. in the Boothbay Region High School library.
Several BEC subcommittees are being formed and volunteers are needed. One of the subcommittees is the “Community Communication” subcommittee, where interested community members and students will work to inform, discuss and communicate on the issues involved. The BEC currently has 10 members but if you are interested in joining this group, please email one of the BEC members below or find a sign up page on the AOS98 website – www.aos98schools.org – then click on the CSD Building Exploratory Project. Then click on “I would like to be part of the committee.” The next meeting of this subcommittee is Monday, Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the BRHS library or online with the Zoom link (found at the AOS website).
The BEC committee members to contact are Abby Jones (ajones@aos98schools.org) or Steve Lorrain (slorrain@aos98schools.org).
Other subcommittees being formed include Social Media, Buildings and Grounds, Sustainability, Event Volunteer and Grant Writing
