Basket weaving class at Spectrum Generations
Basket weaving is a creative and fun craft that produces baskets that are both practical and charming, involving various levels of skill and techniques. Come to Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center, 521 Main Street in Damariscotta and learn how to create and weave your own New England tote. The Center's spring basket weaving workshop will take place on Thursday, April 23 and 30 from 9 a.m. until noon.
Under the guidance of Mare Lamay, learn to weave your very own New England tote basket. This roomy tote basket pattern is an old standard, it has such an appealing design and is very functional for carrying your everyday stuff.
Pre-registration is required as seating is limited and supplies need to be ordered. Registration deadline April 17. To register, call 207-563-1363. A supply list detailing items that participants will need to bring to the workshop will be provided at that time. Materials and class fee is $20.
