Boothbay Harbor Police Chief Robert Hasch reported on December 2 that the local police department has several pieces of abandoned property, primarily estate-type jewelry, awaiting owner identification.

Hasch said most of the items have been in the department’s possession for several years, some dating back before 1980, and have been advertised on previous occasions.

To claim an item, individuals must provide a detailed description of the item, sales receipts and/or photographs to the police department at 11 Howard Street, Boothbay Harbor, during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For further information, call 207-633-5616.
