Area kids and teens of all ages are invited to the FASCAR Rally at Boothbay Baptist Church on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Children may bring their own Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, or use some supplied by the church. Attendees will race on the computerized track in the Fellowship Hall downstairs in the church.  

Trophies, medals and other prizes will be awarded for various age groups, and healthy snacks will be provided.

This free event, to which parents are invited as well, will be the kickoff for the Word of Life youth groups which meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the church.  

Eric Brown of Word of Life will be on hand, along with the volunteer leaders, to introduce the youth group program and encourage kids to learn about God in a caring setting with fun activities and challenges.

Olympians is the group for children in grades one through six, and the Word of Life Teens group is open to students in grades seven through 12.
