To the residents of Boothbay:

My name is Jennifer Ziegra. I have been a resident of Boothbay for 18 years, I am a registered nurse, and I am running for a seat on the Boothbay Board of Selectmen.

I am born and raised in Maine and I have lived here all of my 51 years. At this time, I would like to take a moment to share with you my thoughts, ideas, and vision for the town of Boothbay.

I believe in smart growth for the community and investing in infrastructure while being fiscally responsible and environmentally conscious. I feel that preserving a working waterfront is vital to the town’s character and to those residents that rely on ocean access for their livelihood. It is critical for the town’s future that we make Boothbay attractive to new business and jobs while maintaining the community’s character that we all love.

If elected, I will apply my traditional Maine values and give this position 100 percent just like any job that I have ever had.

I would appreciate your vote on May 1.
