Is QuickBooks right for you? This workshop on January 14, 10 a.m. to noon, is designed to assist business owners or individuals starting a business in making the decision to purchase QuickBooks versus using some other record-keeping system in their business. Participants will be able to “try before you buy” to see how QuickBooks looks/feels as a record-keeping system. Instructors will also cover alternatives for small business record-keeping with the emphasis on what record-keeping system is most likely to be used effectively in their business.

The Women's Business Center at CEI has a training license for QuickBooks Premier which they will install on participants PC laptops 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop and then uninstall from laptops at the conclusion of the workshop. This workshop is not for individuals who will be using Macintosh computers. There are three CEI client use computers available on a first-come first-served basis for participants who do not have a PC laptop. Please indicate in the comments section if you do not have a PC laptop.

This workshop for a maximum of 25 registrants is located at the Wiscasset Town Office in Wiscasset. Cost is $15 and the deadline for registering is January 13. Co-sponsored by the Town of Wiscasset, Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce, and Ballou & Associates.
