Why not more school choices for voters?
Dear Editor:
I believe local school officials are doing Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor a huge disservice by not fully exploring all the long-term options for educating our students going forward.
There is a joint board meeting Aug. 8 when members are voting whether to move forward with an $89 million bond putting all the cost burden on taxpayers in Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor despite historically low enrollment for those two towns.
If you are wondering what you can do about it, I recommend making your feelings known to your school representatives and/or attending that meeting.
