"The Magic Faraway Tree" - (PG; 1 hour, 50 minutes) - Family Pass Deal opening night! - Adapted from Enid Blyton's beloved classic novel The Magic Faraway Tree, the film centers on Polly (Claire Foy), Tim (Andrew Garfield), and their three children -- a modern family forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. As they adapt to their new lives, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents, including treasured characters Moonface (Nonso Anozie), Silky (Nicola Coughlan), Dame Washalot (Jessica Gunning), and Saucepan Man (Dustin Demri-Burns). At the top of the tree, they are transported to spectacular, fantastical lands, and through the joys and challenges of their adventures, the family learns to reconnect and value each other for the first time in years.

"James McNeill Whistler" - Exhibition On Screen - (90 minutes) - Bold, experimental, and famously witty, James McNeill Whistler challenged the conventions of Victorian society and helped redefine what art could be. A contemporary of the Impressionists and admired by artists including Van Gogh and Manet, Whistler championed the idea of “art for art’s sake,” pursuing beauty, atmosphere, and harmony above traditional storytelling. Inspired by the relationship between painting and music, he gave many of his works musical titles—arrangements, harmonies, and nocturnes—to emphasize the importance of tone and composition. His most famous work, "Arrangement in Grey and Black No. 1" (1871), better known as "Whistler’s Mother," has become one of the most recognizable—and frequently parodied—paintings in the world. Filmed in close collaboration with Tate Britain during the first major Whistler retrospective in three decades, this new Exhibition on Screen film brings together celebrated masterpieces and rarely seen works to reveal the fascinating artist behind them—and the lasting influence of his remarkable vision. Harbor Theater has returned to winter hours - no regular shows on Mondays and Tuesdays. Shows are at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with 2 p.m. matinees on Wednesday (OCAP – Open Caption Screening) and Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children under 18. Member prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 18. ADA-mandated Audio Descriptive (AD) and Closed Caption (CC) devices are available for visually and hearing-impaired guests; inquire at the concession stand.
