Boothbay Region veterans, those on active duty, plus Gold Star and Blue Star families, will be honored at a special Veterans Recognition Dinner sponsored by the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club.

The November 7 event, to be held at the American Legion Hall in Boothbay’s Industrial Park, will feature a speech by the Rev. Dr. Bob Zimmerli, a U.S. Navy veteran who served aboard a minesweeper in World War II.

Although there is no charge for the event, reservations are required as space is limited. To reserve a space, please call Frank Helman at 207-633-8330 by November 5.

Veterans are encouraged to wear the insignia of their service branch, or that of their veteran’s organization.
