Two car collision in Boothbay Harbor leads to arrest
A two car collision occurred on Townsend Avenue in front of Hammond Lumber company in Boothbay Harbor at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25.
Felicia Q. Colasessano, 31, of Wiscasset was headed southbound in her Jeep Grand Cherokee carrying one passenger. Colasessano attempted to pass a vehicle by crossing into the northbound lane, but clipped a Dodge Ram pickup truck that was headed northbound. The truck veered off the road, flattened a street sign and struck a utility pole.
Colasessano was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, operating after suspension and failure to yield to a right of way.
No injuries were reported at the scene, and no other names have been released at this time.
Traffic on Townsend Avenue was stopped for nearly 30 minutes, but resumed at 4 p.m.
Boothbay Harbor Police, Boothbay Harbor Fire Department and Boothbay Region Ambulance Service responded to scene.
