People came to East Boothbay from as far away as Portland in the early evening of July 26 to witness the launching of the Katie T. Moran, Washburn and Doughty's latest tug. The new 86-foot-long tug will join a fleet of many others built by the shipyard for Moran Towing, reportedly among the nation's top five ship towing companies. The Katie T. Moran is one in a series of "Z-Drive" models with high towing capacity that can quickly spin in its own footprint.
